Pompeii, Positano and Amalfi Small-Group Day Trip from Rome by Minivan with Hotel Pickup

Hotel or apartment pickup in Rome and a minivan with a tour assistant make this a different kind of Pompeii and Amalfi Coast day trip from the coach tours on the same route. Up to six people share each minivan, and a breakfast stop on the highway breaks up the drive south.

In Pompeii a local guide walks the group through the Roman city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterwards the road follows the Amalfi Coast to Positano, where there is time for lunch, the craft shops and photographs, then on to Amalfi, the oldest of the Maritime Republics, for the Cathedral of St. Andrew and a limoncello tasting.

The order changes in winter, from 1 November to 28 February. Amalfi comes first, with free time for lunch and limoncello, and Positano becomes a photo stop, since its shops and restaurants are closed in low season.
