Pompeii and Amalfi Coast Day Trip from Rome with Positano or Sorrento Free Time
The choice is made at check-out: Positano or Sorrento. Whichever one is picked, the group gets free time in that town on the Amalfi Coast before Pompeii. Positano is known for narrow staircases, boutiques and a cliffside setting, Sorrento for grand terraces, lemon groves and lively piazzas.
A driver and tour leader take the group south from Rome in an air-conditioned vehicle. The coast stop includes a shot of locally made limoncello, time to explore and a sit-down lunch at your own expense. In the afternoon, an archaeologist guide leads the visit to Pompeii on timed-entry tickets, past preserved streets, the plaster casts, the baths and the ancient brothel.
Group tours of this type cannot take wheelchairs, walking aids that need assistance or strollers, and car seats must be requested 72 hours ahead.
