Small Group Pompeii and Amalfi Coast Day Tour from Rome by Minivan with Positano
Six or seven guests share an air-conditioned minivan on this Rome day trip run by Welcome Italy, with free pickup and drop-off. A guide stays with the group from the first stop to the last.
Pompeii takes about two hours with a licensed guide and a skip-the-line ticket, through streets, baths, marketplaces and the houses of wealthy citizens. Positano follows, with free time for browsing, shopping and an optional lunch, and the road then continues along the Amalfi Coast to Amalfi or to another village such as Maiori or Vietri sul Mare, where there is a tasting of Limoncello and traditional sweets.
The season can change the route. In summer, traffic restrictions on the coast may adjust the itinerary slightly. In winter Positano is closed, and another place on the coast takes its slot.

Archaeological Park of Pompeii
A licensed local guide leads two hours through Pompeii: the Forum, the Great Theatre, temples, baths and preserved houses. The talk covers the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD that buried the city. Priority entrance saves time at the gate, and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Positano
Free time in Positano's narrow streets and boutiques, which sell local fashion, handmade sandals, linen clothing and ceramics. Lunch at a seaside restaurant above the beach is optional. In winter Positano is closed and another place on the coast is visited instead.

Costiera Amalfitana
A panoramic drive along the Amalfi Coast, past cliffs, winding roads, colorful villages and the sea. In summer, traffic regulations on the coast may mean minor changes to the itinerary.
