NaplesBuilt around a ship's schedule, this day tour runs Positano, Sorrento and Pompeii in sequence and ends back at the port. Guests are picked up at the cruise terminal or at a hotel in Naples, and the operator tailors times to cruise arrivals and departures, with the return to the ship guaranteed.
The free time is short and fixed: one hour in Positano and one hour in Sorrento. Pompeii comes last, with a two-hour guided tour. The Amalfi Coast drive links the first stops and gives views of Mount Vesuvius and Capri from the road.
Group size sets the format. Parties of 6 to 8 ride in an 8-seat van and join a guide at Pompeii, while groups of 9 to 21 travel by minibus with a guide for the whole excursion. At least 6 people are needed for the tour to run. The Pompeii entry ticket is paid in cash on arrival.

Costiera Amalfitana
First stop is Positano, with 1 hour of free time. The town descends to the sea like a waterfall, along narrow pathways past artisan workshops selling ceramics, lemon products and local clothing.

Sorrento, one hour free
Second stop is Sorrento, with 1 hour of free time. The Sorrento peninsula lies south of Naples, with citrus scent in the air and vines running down steep slopes to the sea. Views of Mount Vesuvius and Capri open up along the coast road.

Pompeii
The last stop is Pompeii, an open-air museum. The city lay buried in ash until 1748, and the ruins show it much as it stood more than 2,000 years ago.
