Small-Group Minivan Day Trip: Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano from Naples
Eight people at most share one modern minivan and one licensed driver, who stays with the group for the whole day. Pickup is in Naples, either at the central train station or at the cruise port, depending on the option booked.
The road goes first to Sorrento, where the old town's narrow alleys are lined with artisan and souvenir shops and there are plenty of viewpoints. Next comes Positano, with several stops along the way so the driver can pull over at good spots for photos. Pompeii is the last stop. Entry is booked in advance, so there is no ticket queue, and the ruins are walked at your own pace with a digital audio guide rather than a live guide.
The ticket is the standard base one, which matters for anyone hoping to see the Villa dei Misteri or the Antiquarium. In heavy traffic the Amalfi Coast leg switches to Amalfi and Ravello. The driver takes the group back to Naples at the end.

Sorrento
The minivan takes the group from Naples to Sorrento. Free time for the Church of Saint Antonino, the cathedral, the panoramic gardens and the alleys of the old town.

Archaeological Park of Pompeii
Skip-the-line entry with the standard base ticket, then a self-guided visit. The Villa dei Misteri and the Antiquarium are not included.
