Three stops share one long day: the crater of Mount Vesuvius, the ruins of Pompeii and the Cantine del Vesuvio winery at Trecase. The volcano is the main event, a climb of 20 to 25 minutes to the crater at about 1,000 meters above sea level, with the Gulf of Naples and its islands spread out below. The highest peak is 1,281 meters.

Pompeii gets about two hours of free time. A guide is recommended for the site and is available on request, but is not part of the tour price; the same goes for entry to the monuments. The winery visit covers the 4 hectares of vineyards and cellars on the volcano's low hills, near Pompeii, and ends with a tasting of several wines and a Neapolitan menu inspired by ancient Rome.

The price covers the air-conditioned vehicle, commentary in an agreed language, bottled water and onboard WiFi, for up to 7 travelers per booking. Travelers need at least a moderate level of fitness.
