The guide is the distinguishing part of this private day: an art historian takes over in Pompeii and shows all the highlights of the archaeological site in about 2.5 hours, helping the group skip the line. Entrance tickets to the site are included.

Before that, the English-speaking driver meets the passengers at the port of Naples at 8:00 am and drives a private first-class minivan. Weather and traffic decide whether the day starts with Pompeii or with the Amalfi Coast, and the driver says which on the morning itself. Along the coastal panoramic roads there are about three hours of free time to explore Positano or Sorrento.

At the end of the day the driver returns the group to the cruise ship terminal. Lunch, food and drinks, and gratuities are not included, and cruise passengers must give the ship's details when booking.
