Cruise passengers docking at Salerno get a guided morning at Pompeii without arranging transport themselves. The tour lasts 2.5 hours, is led by a licensed archaeologist with commentary in English or Spanish, and uses skip-the-line entry tickets. Headsets are included. Coach pickup and drop-off at the Port of Salerno are included, and it is also possible to meet at Pompeii.

The walk begins at Porta Marina Inferiore and passes the Forum, the Basilica where justice was served, the Temple of Apollo and the ancient granaries. It also takes in a thermopolium, the public baths, the House of the Faun and the Lupanar, and finishes at the plaster casts of eruption victims.

Groups are limited to 15 travellers per booking, and moderate fitness is expected. The tour is not suitable for people with mobility impairments.
