Private Pompeii, Vesuvius and Family Vineyard Day from Sorrento, Tickets Included
A luxury air-conditioned vehicle with an English-speaking driver carries the group through the whole day, and the price covers nearly everything: entrance fees for Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius, a licensed guide in Pompeii, and wine tasting with a light lunch and drinks at a family-owned vineyard. Only gratuities are extra.
The order runs ruins, volcano, vineyard. Pompeii comes with a private 2-hour guided walk and skip-the-line tickets. Vesuvius is the only active volcano on mainland Europe, and the hike to the top ends at the crater rim, with the Bay of Naples spread out below.
The day closes on the volcano's slopes, where Lacrima Christi is made, a wine tradition that goes back to Roman times. A vegetarian lunch can be arranged if requested at booking. The minimum drinking age is 18, and a moderate level of fitness is needed.
