A private driver meets the group at the Port of Naples and stays for the whole day, which is how one ship call covers three places that are normally separate trips. The ruins come first, in the morning: Pompeii, or Herculaneum for travellers who have already seen Pompeii.

Herculaneum is smaller and less famous, but it has mosaics, ancient advertisements and well preserved homes. After the site the route continues to Sorrento for sightseeing and lunch (food and drinks are not included), then along the Amalfi coast to Positano, where the day ends before the return to the port.

Private transfers and the site admission fee are part of the price.

  2. Archeological Park of Herculaneum

Chosen instead of Pompeii. The town at the foot of Vesuvius covers the ancient city that the eruption of 79 AD destroyed.

  3. Amalfi Coast

Cliffs, lemon blossom and whitewashed houses along the coast south of Sorrento.

  4. Sorrento Coast

The promontory at the southern end of the Bay of Naples, a Greek colony before the Romans took it.

  5. Sorrento

A town over the Bay of Naples, known for ceramics, lacework, marquetry and limoncello.
