Private Day Tour from Naples or Amalfi Coast: Pompeii, Vesuvius Winery Lunch, Sorrento

A private vehicle carries the group from the Naples, Salerno, Amalfi or Positano area through three stops: Pompeii in the morning, a winery at the foot of Mount Vesuvius for lunch, and Sorrento in the afternoon. The Pompeii visit is unguided unless a private guide is added for a 2-hour walk through the ruins, which costs 130 euros extra.

The winery stop is built around the table. The tasting covers six local wines, three of them Lacryma Christi, plus a Gran Riserva, a dessert spumante and an apricot distillate. Lunch starts with bruschetta, salami and cheese, continues with fresh pasta Setaro dressed with extra virgin olive oil, cherry tomatoes and basil, and ends with pastiera, the Neapolitan cake, served with two dessert wines.

Lunch and tasting cost 32 euros per person, paid directly to the winery. The Pompeii entrance fee is also paid separately.
