Pompeii Tour from Naples with Vesuvius Vineyard Walk, Wine Tasting and Lunch
This day pairs two hours in Pompeii with a stop on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius: a short walk through the vineyards, then a Mediterranean lunch with tasting of local products and wines. The whole outing lasts about six hours, by coach from Naples.
At the vineyards the talk is about where the wines come from and why the sunburnt volcanic ground, fertilized by periodic lava flows, gives them their character. The glasses include Falanghina, Lacryma Christi and Aglianico, among other varieties.
In Pompeii the visit covers the large theater, the necropolis, the thermal baths and some of the houses owned by the richest residents. Entrance tickets to the excavations are not included.
