RomeThree versions of the same day share one coach and one departure point, Piazza del Popolo in Rome. The standard route pairs Pompeii with Sorrento, a second swaps Pompeii for Positano, and a private version covers Pompeii, Positano and Sorrento. The option is chosen when booking, and the stops below depend on it.
In Pompeii, an expert local guide walks the group through houses and workplaces left as they were when Vesuvius erupted. Sorrento brings free time, pottery shops and a limoncello tasting at a local distillery. The drive between the stops follows the Amalfi Coast, and the return to Rome is expected around 8:00 PM.

Piazza del Popolo, Roma
Meet in the centre of Piazza del Popolo, by the large fountain with the lions and the obelisk. The nearest metro stop is Flaminio (Line A). The City Wonders team wears blue and carries flags.

The coach leaves from Piazza del Popolo for the round trip, in an air-conditioned vehicle with free Wi-Fi.

Archaeological Park of Pompeii
A Roman port city buried under volcanic ash, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. An expert local guide leads the visit through homes and workplaces frozen in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Pompeii is not visited on the Positano and Sorrento option.

Sorrento
Time to stroll Sorrento's streets and churches, browse pottery shops for souvenirs, and taste limoncello at a local distillery. A bottle can be bought to take home.
