Pompeii Half-Day Trip from Naples with Morning or Afternoon Departure
Two departure windows make this half-day trip flexible: a morning start between 8:00 and 8:45 or, from April, an afternoon start between 1:00 and 1:45 pm. Both leave from one of six meeting points in Naples, which include Piazza Garibaldi and Molo Beverello, close to the cruise pier.
Round-trip transport is included, with an assistant giving live commentary on board. Inside Pompeii, a licensed guide leads groups of more than six people, and smaller parties get an audio guide. The walk lasts about two hours and goes through the theater, the shopping street with its preserved bakeries and pizzerias, the house of the richest man in Pompeii, the necropolis, the forum and the bath houses. If time permits, the trip stops at a local workshop making cameos and coral jewelry.
The entrance ticket to the site is not included.
