Pompeii and Vesuvius Full-Day Tour from Naples with Pizza Tasting and Priority Tickets
Lunch sits in the middle of this day, between the ruins and the volcano: a pizza tasting, a first course and water at a local restaurant just steps from the Pompeii site. The day opens with morning pickup in Naples and a 40-minute transfer, during which the guide explains the program and the history of the region.
At Pompeii, priority tickets skip the line. A professional archaeological guide spends about two hours on the Forum, the Macellum, the baths and the brothel, and on the ancient streets, frescoes, Roman houses and villas.
Vesuvius comes after a scenic 30-minute drive. Priority tickets again, and a licensed alpine guide leads the hike to the crater, explaining the geology with the Bay of Naples below. The group returns to Naples with drop-off included.
