This walk covers the western part of Pompeii, from the Marina Gate to the Theatres, with a professional archaeologist as guide and skip-the-line tickets included. Groups are capped at 20 people.

On the way: the Basilica, the Forum, the baths, the Lupanar (the brothel), a bakery, the House of the Faun, the Thermopolium, the main street and the plaster casts of the dead. The guide places each building in the life of the town before Vesuvius buried it in 79 AD and shows how the Romans used both the public buildings and the private houses.

The tour starts at Porta Marina Superiore and can be taken in English, Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese or German. It runs two hours.
