Pompeii 2-Hour Guided Tour with Licensed Archaeologist, Ticket and Cameo Workshop Stop
Before the gate, the group stops at a traditional cameo workshop, where artisans carve delicate designs by hand from shells. Then a licensed archaeology guide takes over for about two hours inside the ruins.
On the way the guide points out the plaster casts of the victims of the 79 AD eruption of Vesuvius. The route can be adapted to crowds and site accessibility, but it always includes key highlights from each major area: a temple, a villa, a market and other important sites.
The entrance fee is included. Under regional rules, access to the site is free on the first Sunday of each month.
