This one is Pompeii alone, with no volcano and no transfer, so the whole time goes to the site. An archaeologist guides the walk through the ancient streets and explains how citizens lived before the eruption of Vesuvius in AD 79.

The route covers the buildings that ran civic life in Roman times, the Basilica, the Forum, the baths and the Theater, and then the commercial and residential neighborhoods, with a bakery and typical housing blocks. The tour ends as the sun sets over the ruins.

Transport and parking are not included, since the meeting point is in Pompei itself.

  2. Archaeological Park of Pompeii

    A 2.5-hour small group tour of the ruins (maximum 10 people) with skip-the-line access. The archaeological guide leads through the western part of the city to buildings such as the Basilica, the Forum, the baths, the bakery and some residential houses.
