Nobody else joins this tour. An archaeologist with experience at Pompeii shapes the route around the group and shares details that, in the operator's words, are not found online or in books.

The day before, the operator makes contact with details about the visit and a link for buying entrance tickets in advance, which lets the group skip the ticket office queue as well as the entrance line. Tickets themselves are not part of the price. Once the tour is over, guests can stay on the site until closing time and keep exploring with the guide's suggestions.

The route covers the theatres and temples, a rich house, the Stabian Baths, shops and a fast food counter, the Lupanar area, the Forum, the gladiators' area and the casts of people who died in the eruption.
