Pompeii 2-Hour Private Archaeologist Tour with Entry Tickets Included
Entry to the site is already paid for here, so the two hours go on the ruins rather than on a ticket office. The guide is an archaeologist, and the group walks with him alone.
The route goes to the Forum, the main square of the Roman city, then to the principal houses and public buildings, and ends at the plaster casts made from the bodies of the people found during the excavations. Pompeii is a UNESCO World Heritage Site because it shows Roman society and daily life at one fixed moment, and the guide uses that to explain how people lived under the Empire.
The tour is wheelchair accessible, and an adapted itinerary can be arranged on request. Guiding is available in German, Russian, Portuguese, Japanese, English, Italian, Polish, French and Spanish.
