Pompeii Small Group Tour with Archaeology Guide, Entry Included, Forum, Amphitheatre
Pompeii is told here through the people who lived in it. The local guide, an archaeology expert, walks the group in from the gate and shows what has survived under the 79 AD ash for more than 2,000 years: villas with frescoes and mosaics, bathing areas, private homes and the amphitheatre, one of the oldest surviving in the world.
The route follows the cobbled paths to the Forum, the hub of daily life, where a centaur statue and ancient columns stand. A headset is provided for groups of more than six, so the guide stays audible on the ruins.
The guided visit of Villa dei Misteri is not part of this tour. The ticket covers the entrance fees and a two-hour small-group visit, with guiding in English or Italian.
