Herculaneum Skip-the-Line Guided Tour with Optional Naples Minibus Pickup

This guided visit can be booked in two ways: with pick-up in Naples on an air-conditioned minibus, or by meeting the guide directly at the Herculaneum ticket office, in which case transportation is not included. The entry fee and skip-the-line access are covered either way, and a local archaeological guide takes the group inside.

The route runs through the House of the Wooden Partition, with a rare intact wooden screen that Pompeii does not have, and the House of Neptune and Amphitrite, with its private baths and glass-paste wall mosaics. In the Urban Baths the Roman hypocaust heating system can be traced through the calidarium, tepidarium and frigidarium. The group then sees the seaside House of the Deer and House of the Bicentenary, with frescoes and large courtyards, before walking down to the ancient beachfront boathouses (Fornici), where residents sought refuge during the eruption of 79 AD.
