Paestum's history is a layering of Greeks, Lucans and Romans, followed by Byzantines, Saracens and the feudal lords of the kingdom. This tour reads that mix through three stops instead of one archaeological site.

The first is the ceramic workshop of Antonio, son of the artist Andrea Guida, where the talk covers how ceramics are made and who his father was. A small museum of ceramics and paintings can be visited, and ceramics are for sale. The second is a buffalo farm, with buffaloes and donkeys to see and mozzarella, ice cream or yoghurt made with buffalo milk to buy or taste. The last stop is in the evening near the Temples of Paestum, lit by artistic lights, with the story of a Greek city where Greek, Lucan and Roman cultures lived together with respect.

Transport is private, and the tour starts and ends at Agropoli train station.
